GRADE POINT DEDUCTION

Preliminary submission of slides should be in final form (no missing parts to be “filled in later”. Missing images and “decorations – OK).
Should be approx. 50-60 slides.

Following are points that you must take care in preliminary submission.
Point deduction of 2-5 points from final course score on each:

* Slide size should be: On screen show 4X3 (not Widescreen).

* Font size 24 and up (if really necessary 22 size)

* Copy-paste of caption from paper also "Fig1", or " a)" "b." or "left" "right" should NOT appear next to images in slides.
you can add your own caption in SHORT sentence (in appropriate font).

* Equations copy-pasted in bad resolution

* Images copy-pasted in bad resolution or bad proportions

* Capital letters in beginning of sentence

* English Typos and Grammar errors

* Too much text on the slide. Should not be a copy-paste of the paper. Should be short brief bullets or explanation sentences.

* Image size should be large so audience can see

* Variables and Terms must be defined before using them

* Summary Slide

* References slide

* Slides may be “borrowed” from elsewhere but credit must be given
(in slide or at beginning and end of presentation).

* Incomplete presentation (missing parts) 10-15 points from final grade.

Note: Choose a slide design that does not take up a lot of space at top and bottom of slide. The slide height is small as is. Best to choose a design that is on the side of the slide.
