Title: "Combiners via Secure Computation".
Date: Thursday, Apr. 17.
Place: Haifa U. Education Building, room 570.
Time: 12:15 - 13:30
Abstract:
In this talk I will introduce the notion of combiners in cryptography --
a method of combining several candidates for a cryptographic task to
produce one good instantiation, even if some of the candidates are
actually insecure.
I will survey previous results on this topic, and focus on new work
that improves the state of the art in combiners for the central notions
of Secure Computation and Oblivious Transfer (OT). The new combiner
follows a recent new paradigm called "multiparty computation in the head".
Based on joint work with Yuval Ishai, Eyal Kushilevitz and Jesper Buus Nielsen.
The talk is self contained and requires no prior knowledge.
